December 2009
Registered Charity

The month started very slowly but we had a great flurry of adoptions towards the end of December including some of our oldest and longest term cats:
. Calico beauty Fee found her forever home with a family in Carlisle
. Pretty young cat Polly beat her more outgoing sister to win over a young Carlisle couple
. Older charmer Floyd, a 13yr old cat, has gone to live in Carlisle with a great lady and her beloved cat Georgia - Georgia has recently lost her two feline pals and needed a new friend
. Cheeky kitten duo, Bert and Ernie, were a well executed Christmas surprise for a couple in Wigton! God help the Christmas Tree!
. A fantastic end to 2009 saw three cats; 18yr old Sox, 10yr old Zinnia and 3yr old Evie all move to their new home on New Years Eve! These lucky girls go to live with a great new family.
We should also comment on the soon-to-be formal adoption of longest term foster cat Dennis who is doing amazingly well in his new home near Beattock with a fabulous couple, and regular ACC adopters.
We are ever grateful to people like these December adopters who take problem cats and or older cats and give them a well deserved second chance.

. Kitten duo Sidney and Bumble were adopted on the 15th by a lovely young couple in Dentonholme. Despite being from different litters they were inseperable.
. On the 16th, lovely cat Rosa found a new home in the countryside at Roadhead. She had been with us since August 2009 so a great second chance this year.
. The 17th saw lovely longhaired cat Noelle find a new home in Carrutherstown in SW Scotland with a great family and three other cats.
. Dogs Kayleigh and Shep have both been adopted this month
