Become a Member
Becoming a member of Animal Concern Cumbria ensures a regular commitment to the charity. It costs from just £5 a year which is not a lot considering the hundreds of animals we are able to help in just one year!
If you would like to become a member please use this link to a printable form, complete and send with the subscription to out treasurer - address available on the form or on our Contacts page.
Susbcriptions are renewed annually in January - please also note, we currently don't have a standing order option available.

Fostering

Volunteering
Fostering is a great practical way to help the animals within our care and can be incredibly rewarding. It is also often time-consuming, stressful and requires patience, understanding and a real passion for the animals involved. Foster animals are often best kept seperate from any existing pets, unless your pets are particularly understanding, and can come with all manner of problems - both physical and emotional!
If you are still interested in becoming one of our small band of home fosterers, please email us with something about yourself or call one of the numbers to the left.
As Animal Concern is a charity, we are reliant on fund raising and donations.
You can make a donation online using a credit or debit card or using your own PayPal account. The transaction is handled securely by PayPal.
You can also donate for free every time you go on line by using a search engine called Everyclick instead of Google for example. Find out more at http://www.everyclick.com
If you are able to donate any items to our branch, for example; bric a brac, books, cds and dvds or things we may be able to use for the residents in our care; hutches, runs and cages, bedding, beds, food, toys etc then please email in the first instance and we will discuss collection/ delivery with you. Remember one pet's rubbish is another pet's treasure!
There are other ways you can give us some support - we're always desperate for people to help hands-on with things like; helping at supermarket collections, helping on stalls at shows etc, helping with cleaning out of the animals etc. If you are interested in joining our Commitee or just want to find out more, please call us or email.
