ANIMAL CONCERN CUMBRIA   North Lakes and Solway Branch

 The North Lakes branch of the charity has Carlisle at it's centre and deals with animals in Northern Cumbria and into South West Scotland.

Our branch does not operate any kind of sanctuary or kenneling facility. All our foster homes are private residences dotted throughout our branches region.
As you can appreciate we do not have opening hours, our fosterers are volunteers caring for from one to fifty animals at a time in their own time, often around full time jobs and children! We ask that you are patient with us when contacting one of our volunteers, it is not always possible to respond immediately. All our callers are important to us and we will endeavour to help you as soon as possible.

We prefer to rehome animals and take animals from the area within our branch for the purpose of travel and undertaking home checks. If you are from further afield, we would recommend you contact your most local branch for help. If they are unable to satisfy your enquiry then by all means contact us too, it is important that each animal in our care get the ideal new home, and this often means venturing further afield.
